One of the top and longest running jams in the Tampa Bay area has always been the Monday House of Trouble jam at the Green Iguana in Tampa. It’s been going on for over 20 years. It always has the best players and the longest wait time to get to play (unless you in with the in-crowd). This jam was run by B3 player Dean Germain and usually Ben “Jammin” on bass. Drummers and guitar hosts often varied from week to week.

About a year ago Dean and company added a second jam over here, across Tampa Bay, in Largo at AJ’s Sports Bar. They have been going strong ever since and also have a great turn out each week.

On this particular night, the turnout of the pros was no exception. Visiting host Donny Kuryliw, was joined by Dean on B3, and Jerry Chase on drums and Michael on bass. Harp player Dooner Manross also joined in this evening for the first set.

But also in the house on this night was the great, soul-blues duo Sugar and Spice. They are on the second video and joined by national blues star Tommy McCoy on guitar. Tommy just got back from a short tour that took him to Memphis where he played Beale Street and other hot spots.
