The Sunshine Blues Fest was held during the weekend of January 18-20 at 3 locations in Florida. On Sunday the 20th it was held in St. Petersburg Florida and I was lucky enough to attend.
The headliner for all three days was the Tedeschi Trucks Band and each night they closed the show. They played for over 90 minutes each night and I was able to get videos of much of the night to share with you.
If you are not familiar with the band you are in for a treat. This is one of the best bands in the land at the moment. This 11-piece band can do it all and with Derek Trucks, one of the top slide-guitarist that ever lived, and amazing vocalist, Susan Tedeschi, how can you not be wowed by everything they do.
But the band includes an amazing group of players that are all stars and top-notch musicians in their own right. And thankfully, they all get a chance to shine during the show. You can learn more about all the members on this page of their website.
On this particular beautiful Florida night, all the stars were in alignment. The band was in top form, the sound was great, and the crowd was with them every step of the way.
I hope you enjoy the ride. The sound on the video is great, and although the video is not perfect in the beginning, by the end you’ll be seeing something special.
